Description

Why people reach for these

They stretch hard and hold. Pull them tight around a component, a lens, a probe tip - they flex with the motion instead of fighting it, and they don't tear mid-task.

They won't scratch what they touch. The latex surface is soft enough for optical glass, polished housings, and coated panels, so you're not trading grip for damage.

They go on fast, even with wet or gloved hands. A rolled cuff edge means no fumbling at the start of a shift or mid-task after a glove change.

They stay out of the way. Thin, no bulk, no powder residue - fingertip sensitivity stays intact for small connectors, screws, and fine assembly work.

They rarely fail you. A low pinhole rate means fewer surprises when you're relying on a clean barrier for hours at a stretch.

Storage & shelf life: Store dry, away from light, at 10–26°C with humidity ≤ 70% RH. Shelf life is within 6 months of production - latex begins to age past that point. The anti-static coating is surface-applied, so its performance holds for roughly 3 months and is best measured/used in ambient humidity of 55% or higher.

Where They Get Used

Semiconductor assembly.

Handling die, wafers, and fine-pitch connectors where a single fingerprint or static discharge can void a batch.

Electronics & PCB lines.

Populating boards, testing continuity, and handling components where ESD control matters as much as grip.

Optical & precision instrument manufacturing.

Assembling lenses, LCD panels, and coated glass - surfaces that show every scratch and smudge.

Aerospace manufacturing and MRO.

Torque checks, wiring harness work, and inspection tasks in aircraft assembly and maintenance environments.

Laboratory and cleanroom work.

Sample handling and instrument calibration where powder contamination or fiber shedding isn't an option.

Computer assembly.

Installing RAM, CPUs, and connectors where static sensitivity and tactile precision both matter.

A quick example
A PCB rework station switched from standard nitrile fingertip covers to anti-static latex finger cots after repeated ESD-related component failures during manual rework. The rolled-cuff design also cut the time technicians spent re-gloving between component swaps, since the cots could be pulled on one-handed over an existing glove.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will these leave powder residue on optical surfaces?

A: No - they're powder-free by spec, which is why they're used on lens and LCD assembly lines where residue is a defect, not just a nuisance.

Q: How long does the anti-static protection last once opened?

A: Around 3 months, since the anti-static layer is a surface treatment rather than compounded into the latex. Keep them in a humidity-controlled space (ideally ≥55% RH) for consistent readings.

Q: Can I get these in a color other than white, beige, or orange?

A: Yes. Color, size, and packaging format can all be adjusted for order volume - talk to us about your spec.

Q: Are these safe for anyone to wear?

A: They're made from natural latex, which can cause allergic reactions in latex-sensitive individuals. If latex allergy is a concern in your facility, let us know - we can discuss alternative materials.

Q: How are they packaged for cleanroom use?

A: Standard packaging is 500 g per bag, 20 bags per box. Custom packaging formats are available for cleanroom-controlled intake procedures.

Q: Do these come with test documentation?

A: Yes - third-party lab results covering heavy metals, PBBs/PBDEs, phthalates, and halogens are available, with all tested substances reported as Not Detected against standard limits.
