Description

ESD-Safe Cleanroom Swabs Manufacturer | Factory-Direct, RoHS Tested

product-700-530

Westonwiper is a direct manufacturer of ESD-safe cleanroom swabs. Each swab has an ESD polypropylene (PP) handle and a double-layer cleanroom cloth and foam head.

They are built for wiping small, delicate surfaces where dust, loose fibers and static charge can't be tolerated.

Use them in Class 10 to Class 100,000 cleanrooms (approx. ISO 4–8) on hard drives, lenses, printers, scanners, chips and flat panel displays.

Each bag holds 50 swabs. Three standard models are available.

Why Choose These Swabs

ESD-safe handle

virgin polypropylene ESD PP handle with a surface resistance of 10⁶–10⁹ Ω (static-dissipative range).

Double-layer cloth over foam

absorbs liquid well and holds on to contamination, so stubborn dirt and residue lift off the surface.

Clean by design

low fiber shedding, low particle generation and low ionic contamination.

Solvent resistant

works with ethanol, IPA and other common cleaning solvents.

Ultrasonically welded head

the head and handle are bonded without glue and stay together in use.

Multiple tip styles

pointed, flat and round tips for different cleaning jobs.

Standard Models and Specifications

Regular models:

WW412: the smallest head and the longest handle (160 mm). Best for tight spots and fine detail.

WW436: the widest head (16 mm). Covers more area per stroke.

                                       WW435: a mid-width head (12 mm) on a compact 125 mm body. A good all-round choice.

Build a Complete Contamination-Control Routine

A clean swab works best as part of a clean process.

Operators in ESD-protected areas usually wear ESD Safety Toe Shoes along with wrist straps and cleanroom garments. This keeps static under control around the workstation.

Before wiping, lift loose particles from the surface with Sticky Dust Sticks. Then finish with an ESD-safe swab, so you remove dirt instead of spreading it.

FAQ

Q: What are ESD-safe cleanroom swabs used for?

A: They clean small, sensitive parts in cleanrooms. Typical jobs include wiping lenses, sensors, connectors, chips, print heads and display components without leaving fibers or static behind.

Q: What is the surface resistance of the handle?

A: The ESD PP handle is in the static-dissipative range of 10⁶–10⁹ Ω.

Q: Which cleanroom classes can I use them in?

A: They suit Class 10 to Class 100,000 cleanrooms (approx. ISO 4–8).

Q: Can I use them with ethanol or IPA?

A: Yes. The swabs are resistant to ethanol, IPA and other common cleaning solvents. Wet the head lightly and avoid soaking it.

Q: Do they shed fibers or particles?

A: No. They are designed for low fiber shedding and low particle generation. The double-layer cloth also helps keep the foam core contained.

Q: Will the head come loose during cleaning?

A: It won't. The head and handle are ultrasonically welded, so the bond stays firm during wiping.

Q: Are the swabs RoHS compliant?

A: Yes. They are tested to RoHS Directive (EU) 2015/863. Lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP were all not detected. See the RoHS table above, or contact us for the full report.

Q: Can I reuse a swab?

A: We recommend single use. Use a fresh swab for each area to avoid cross-contamination.

Q: What else do I need for an ESD-safe cleaning workflow?

A: Use the swabs together with ESD Safety Toe Shoes for operator grounding and Sticky Dust Sticks for removing loose dust before wiping.
How many swabs are in one pack?
Each bag contains 50 swabs. Contact us for carton quantities and bulk pricing.

Q: Can I get a free sample?

A: Yes. Email sales@westonwiper.com with your name, company, address and the model you want to test, and we will arrange a free sample.
